I am trying to determine the towns that different branches of my family came from. I have information that my gggrandfather Johann HEITMANN was born in Muenlhagen, Meckenburg-Schwerin in 1823 and married Sophia WAYER while in Germany. Sophia WAYER was reportedly born on Sept. 11, 1824 in Moll, Mecklenburg-Schwerin. I believe they came to the U.S. in the late 1850s after the birth of their first two children (Freidrich and Johann).
My gggrandfather John KLUEHS was reportedly born on Aug. 16, 1834 in Sprien, Mecklenburg and married a woman named Sophia around 1860 in Germany. All of these families were Lutheran. I know that the towns given aren't correct and would appreciate help trying to determine the correct towns.
