I have perused the print out that you sent me and have realised that
the baptism date is wrong. I have a statement made by the minister of
barnstorf in 1852, attesting to the fact that Heinrich Lorenz was born
to Otto Friedrich and Dorothea Opperman on 24 August 1778 and christened
7 Sept.
However, the list shows a Conrad Friedrich born in 1778 and christened
in 1778, and the dates do not match either. His dates are in July.
This seems to be the parents, but why is there such a discrepancy
between the two sources of information. Surely am I to believe the
testimony of the minister with access to the originals in 1852?
