The Bühne my great grandfather is from is next to the village Rimbeck. I
know this from the birth record sent to my great grandfather around 1900 to prove
his date of birth for his Civil War Pension.
A cousin of mine told me our Harsdorf family was a very wealthy family up
until the time of Napoleon, when they were defeated by his arm.
I have also found record that my great grandfather's oldest sister Louisa was
born in Hannover in a city named Finnenburg. Also, their mother's maiden
name was GRASHOF, which sounds like a surname from the Netherlands. I found a
GRASHOF family living closer to Magdeburg once before.

if you look at www.familiysearch.org you find some Harsdorf (30). I think
that Catharina Margarethe Harsdorf, born in 1707 in Wernigerode (near
Halberstadt) may be interesting for you. She could be an ancestor.
