What time was this godparents entry done you are talking about? In the first half of 18th century Johann Christian Wendeborn, an ancestor of mine, was pastor in Binde (Altmark) situated decades of miles far away in the north of Magdeburg. Twice I read in the perish book that he used his own children as godparents: The 17th of December 1738 his son Johannn Eberhard was two years and eight months and moreover the third of April 1744 his daughter Margaretha Carolina Sophia was just six years old. Maybe the pastor was a little bit crazy as all six children of him choosed jobs which hadn't any to do with the job of a priest.
