Glascher train station

Please can somebody tell me where I can write to find
out more about this Glscher train station? If
possible I would like to know whom it was named after
and/or receive a photo of the station:

Im Jahre 1927 allerdings hat es die
Kleinbahn-Direktion noch geschafft, den von Gastwirt
Franz Mller aufgebauten Omnibusbetrieb zwischen
Bremen und Heiligenrode zu untersagen. Zwischen Bremen
und Seckenhausen verkehrten damals schon tglich
viermal Omnibusse. Heiligenrode geno den Vorzug, in
den Fahrplnen erwhnt zu werden mit Von Station
Glscher ca. 25 Min. nach Heiligenrode, dieser Weg
mute dann allerdings zu Fu zurckgelegt werden.

Unfortunately I dont speak German but as my surname is
Glscher ... I would just love to know what it looks
like.

Thank you, Silvia Glscher

Please can somebody tell me where I can write to find
out more about this Gläscher train station? If
possible I would like to know whom it was named after
and/or receive a photo of the station:

Let me give you a translation or explanation so you at least know what
you're dealing with.

Im Jahre 1927 allerdings hat es die
Kleinbahn-Direktion noch geschafft, den von Gastwirt
Franz Müller aufgebauten Omnibusbetrieb zwischen
Bremen und Heiligenrode zu untersagen.

Innkeepr Franz Müller had built up a bus service between Bremen and
Heiligenrode. During 1927 the management of the railroad was able to
hinder stop this service (apparently it was competitive with their
railroad)

Zwischen Bremen
und Seckenhausen verkehrten damals schon täglich
viermal Omnibusse.

Back then 4 daily trips already existed between Bremen and Seckenhausen.

Heiligenrode was able to take advantage because it was mentioned in
the schedule as 'from station Gläscher roughly 25 minutes to
Heiligenrode. Unfortunately this distance had to be traversed by foot.

It doesn't make a lot of sense to me either.

I would suspect that Gläscher was a farm or something where busses
stopped for a pickup.

Fred

The distance between Seckenhausen and Heiligenrode is 5 km (about 3 miles).
I think it means, they must go by feet 25 minutes from the bus station by the house Gläscher in Seckenhausen to Heiligenrode.

Dear Fred:

Thank you for your translation. I thought it was a
train station but as you say maybe it was just a farm.
The word "station" made me think of a train station.
If it were a farm, is there any register of farms? My
father, Hermann Ernst Glscher, was born 1905 in
Hannover and I know he had cousins he never saw
because they didnt live very near. I would love to
find all that side of the family.

Thank you for your help.
