well, Wayne, that's the old problem that you will always face when entering
a foreign forum. They speak different. In our case we usually speak German as
it is a German list. When entering an American list - ancestry or rootsweb -
I have to speak English otherwise I'll have no chance getting an answer.
Well, indeed, in that case I won't get an answer for there are only few
Americans who speak German or would answer in German.
Solutions:
1. you ask and answer in German
2. you find someone who can do translations for you
Others like you share the same problems. A relative of a B-24-crew members
does research in the Saar area about the whereabouts of the crash - he speaks
no word German. He hired a translater to get the data translated he looks
for.
It's easy but costs money.

Solution 3 - use an automated translator. There are several free on the
net. The language is horrible, but at least it's enough to get understood
and to understand the answers.

Lsung 3 - einen automatischen bersetzer benutzen. Es gibt mehrere
konstenlos auf Internet. Die Sprache ist schrecklich, aber es gengt
wenigstens um verstanden zu werden und die Antworten zu verstehen.
