Can someone please tell me form where the surnames of Schlesdette, Sliesdeth
or Slesdet came form. I have not been able to find any infromation on any of
these spelling. Any infromation would be greatly appreicated.

There is a small town in France, Elsace named Schlestatt. Today: Sélestat,
Bas-Rhine France, near Colmar. Maybe that is the origin of your name.
