I tried to sign up using the same user name, Craig Lubach, as on other
lists, but for this one I think I'd like to use a nom de plume or pen name.
I'd prefer to sign in as Auch Dabei. It's part of the refrain line from a
famous German-American poem written by my great great grandfather's
commanding officer.Do I need to first cancel my existing account that uses my e-mail address
as my user name, and then resubmit?
1.You can change your _project login name_ in the members database every time you want:
1.1 Go to the members page: https://db.genealogy.net/verwaltung/index.php (I do not remember the English version...)
1.2 Use your existing login/password
1.3 Click on the left hand side on "Zugangsdaten ändern"
1.4 Edit "Benutzername" (login name) and/or "Neues Passwort" (new password) (twice!)
1.5 Click on "Abschicken" (enter)
1.6 Done! Your new login name and/or new password is running...
So - now about the bad message:
If you already have logged successfully in wiki-en (look at http://wiki-en.genealogy.net/wiki/Special:Listusers whether you are there or not) please send me a mail (directly not via list) to change this data record to the new (which?) login name.
