Das neue Jahr 2020 fängt gut an. Die 2009 ins Leben gerufene Arbeitsgruppe von Genealogie-Programmentwicklern Gedcom-L hat über die bislang schon immer öffentlich im GenWiki sowohl in deutsch als auch in englisch gezeigte Dokumentation am 01.01.2020 die erste Version eines GEDCOM 5.5.1 ADDENDUM veröffentlicht:
Hier werden die Ergebnisse aus über 10 Jahre langer Arbeit zusammengefasst. Als Hauptzielgruppe gelten nicht in der Gedcom-L organisierte Programmentwickler, daher ist die Veröffentlichung in englischer Sprache verfasst.

This document serves as an explanation of incorrect and wrong text parts of the GEDCOM Specification 5.5.1, interprets ambiguous statements of the specification, defines agreements for solving this situation and contains additional user-defined tags to allow extended functionality.
The aim of the GEDCOM-L group is:
• Improve communication between Genealogy programs using GEDCOM files • Reduce loss of data during export/import of GEDCOM files • Common understanding and interpretation of the GEDCOM standard • Agree to common solutions to improve the user satisfaction • By obtaining the uniqueness of every program • Use the GEDCOM Standard 5.5.1 as base • Add, if required, common User-defined tags for transferring data, where no standard solutions are available.
