I remember reading some information on how Christmas is celebrated in Germany, so there was not just genealogy, but also some nice background stuff.
Yes, I remember this too.. However, unfortunately this is gone.. 
I just hope that I can get a lot of the old members back to the Forum.. (Ursula ??)..
Yes, this Forum is not meant just for genealogy , our goal is to make all of you familiar
with the old customs, occupations, etc. in Germany.
I invite you all to participate !! I already added a few NEW topics to the forum
and, please, give me more suggestions what we should add..
I realize that starting the forum up is a pain in your neck, but once it's running, is it extra work for you, Wolf, to have the forum exist?
Sure, it is more work and I hope I can get a few moderators to help me..
On the other hand, I have to keep my brain engaged to keep it from rusting...
