Found him! Henry Heitmann (13 May 1848 - 23 Oct 1916) St. Michael Katholisch, Bunnen

Thank you to all for your suggestions in the search for my
great-grandfather Henry Heitmann. I contacted the church in Essen who
asked if I could find out his parents' names. I found the microfilm of his
marriage record at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Charles, MO and his
parents are listed as Joh. Henricus Heitmann and Anna Maria Albers. The
marriage record also indicated that he would have been born in 1848 rather
than the 1850 date that is on his gravestone. I had been searching around
Essen (Old.) because we had a photo of his brother Caspar's family taken at
the F. B. Albers studio in Essen Oldenburg.

On familysearch.org I found transcribed baptism records for Henrich
(transcribed as Keitmann) and two of his three siblings at Sankt Michael
Katholisch, Bunnen, Oldenburg, Germany. I did not find his other brother
Casper.

Bernardus Antonius Heitmann - 29 Oct 1854

My sisters and I will be visiting Osnabruck in November and plan to make a
visit to this area to better understand our heritage.

Teri Billing Lane

Welcome to "my" city Osnabrueck in November! If there is something I can do for you, let me know....Do you (or your sister) speak any German? If there is something to organize or to translate, send me a mail. - Why do you come to Osnabrueck (which is a wonderful old city),if your ancestors are from near Oldenburg? Anyway, I'll help, if I can...........
Regards,
Max
