Hi Marilyn,
Just to make sure the translation of my mail concerning harpsichord makers
(which I sent to your personal e-mail address) did not wind up in your spam
folder, I am sending the English version one more time here.
By chance, while surving in Google, I discovered that
Herman Frederik MORKRAMER, an ancestor of my father, is mentioned as
Harpsichord Maker in the publication:
“Makers of the Harpsichord and Clavichord, 1440 – 1840, 3rd Edition,
Author Donald H. Boalch”
We did know that our ancestor relocated from Nellinghof/Neuenkirchen,
Germany, to
the Dutch Republic (Netherlands), in the 17th century but it was new to us
that he was a Harpsichord Maker.
Now, of course, I am eager to learn, whether this is true and if there is
some more information abt him and his harpsichords.
Best wishes from Frankfurt am Main
Monika
