Fleissner family; Braunschweig

Hello John, Werner,

Sorry, I have just noticed this thread and I may be missing some context. I just
wanted to point out that "Braunschweig / Brunswick" can also mean the Herzogtum
/ dukedom of Braunschweig (see:
Duchy of Brunswick - Wikipedia), not necessarily the city of
Brunswick. There are several other place nanes "Oldenburg" on or close to
Brunswick territory. E.g.:

Hessisch-Oldendorf
Stadtoldendorf (not: Stadt Oldendorf)
Oldendorf close to Salzhemmendorf

Some of them have great online resources, e.g.:
Online Ortsfamilienbuch Stadtoldendorf. But again, it is not clear to
me what you are looking for exactly.

Regards,

Nils (Lenke)

Hello John,
this is an important news and a new way.
In Germany is the spelling "Braunschweig", but it is far away from Oldenburg to
East in the former "Kingdom of Hannover", now Niedersachsen.
There is only one Fleißner(Fleissner) address:

Diana Fleißner
Bienroder Weg 54
38108 Braunschweig
Germany

Here an information link::

Here the registry office in Brunswick:

Here the mailing list for the former Kindom of Hannover:

Good luck,
