Greetings from Canada....this is my first time visiting this list. My great grandfather Johann Andreas Christian Frederich Eggeling was born January 20 1822 in Ohlendorf. His parents were Franz Fredrich Heinrich Jacob Eggeling and Joanne Friederike Sinn...they were married March 1816 in Ohlendorf. I am interested in following the family further back and learning more about the Kingdom of Hannover.

You have two spellings listed--which is more likely? it may not
matter much.
Do you know which Ohlendorf fits your family? I find 3 of them in
Hannover:
very small town in Salzgitter region, (LDS has records of 1808-1872)
near Mellingausen which is east of Sulingen (LDS records previous to
1750)
one south of Hamburg
I'll do more hunting!
