für diejenigen Listenleser, die einen DNA-Test gemacht und evtl. auch bei
Gedmatch.com hochgeladen haben:
Bei Gedmatch.com gibt es die Möglichkeit "Ancestor-Projects" anzulegen.
Somit können Projekte für einzelne Regionen angelegt werden, was den Vorteil
bietet, dass man im entsprechenden Projekt dann lediglich die Matche
angezeigt bekommt, die Vorfahren aus der entsprechenden Region haben.
Voraussetzung ist natürlich, dass die Personen sich in dieser Gruppe
angemeldet haben.
Ich möchte ein entsprechendes Projekt für die Region Oldenburger Raum
anlegen, in den Grenzen des Herzogtum Oldenburg nach 1814.
Dieses Projekt ist noch etwas anders gelagert als das von Kathleen Reed, für
das ich bereits vor einiger Zeit Nummer gesucht hatte, da es hier nicht
lediglich um die Verbindung der Oldenburger zu den Amerikanern geht.
Dafür benötige ich allerdings 50 GedMatch-Nummern. Wer also seine Daten bei
GedMatch hochgeladen hat, und bei diesem Oldenburger Raum-Projekt mitmachen
möchte, der schickt mir bitte gerne seine GedMatch-Nummer(n). Sobald ich 50
Nummern zusammen habe, werde ich diese dort einreichen. Über eine rege
Teilnahme würde ich mich freuen :-).
Wer interessiert ist, aber nicht weiß, wie er seinen DANN-Test bei Gedmatch
hochladen kann, dem helfe ich natürlich gerne weiter.

My maternal grandfather emigrated from Kettenkamp. On maps prior to Prussia’s annexation of Hanover this small town is on the narrow strip of Hanover lying between Oldenburg and Holland. My paternal grandfather was from further south in Westphalia.

I've got ancestors from Kettenkamp as well, surnames are Hermeling and
Beer. Kettenkamp belonged to the parish of Ankum. I suppose you know
that the church records can be found online at:

Hi Jim,
I don't know about American users. In Germany, after the sale of gedmatch, the conditions of use must be approved before the kit is visible again.
The Gedmatch-Number is all that I need. I know where your Mehrpohl come from.
We have had contact about this because we have a DNA Match.
