My letter keys are separating strangely. sorry. As posted before The Ritterling/Seil connection at Eichdorf. I do not know if it at Borstelmans Number 2 halbhof two or another. I do know that I had two Seil Marriages into the Luhman family. Also Margarethe Dorothea SEIL to Heinrich MEYER of Sueschendorf and then the son to a widow Schroder (Bausch) of Oldendorf.*22 Jan 1721 Johann Peter Luhmann had oo marriage 9 july 1751 to UNknown at Breese. His brothers and sisters had marriages at Bostelwiebeck, Leestahl and other places in that area. His niece Catharina Elisabeth Luhmann oo married Hsw. Friedrich Wilhelm RIES of Oldendorf. His other brother went up into Bleckede area and mixed with Schlicht, Jacobs, Blank, Steinbach, Tippe, Meier,Brockmann,Grothe. At that time Michel MUELLER and Catharina Sophia Mueller were involved with the Luhmann family. Mueller family from Kovahl.
The next generation.Jurgen Heinrich Luhmann with Wife Catharina Elisabeth GEHRKE of Dubbekold. Vater Andreas Heinrich Gehrke. I do not know if he is the same of Borstelman's Dubbekold Andreas Gehrke at hof in book. One of Luhmann daughters married Bartel at Eichdorf. The kinder... Two Luhmann daughters married oo Seil.1) Margaretha Madgdalena Luhmann *13 mr.1791 Eichdorf oo 16 Nov.1810 md Jurgen Christoph Hch SEIL of Breese.[She may have had first name of Katharina as well.]2)Catharina Maria Luhmann 26 june 1794 Eichdorf oo Jurgen Friedrich SEil on 30 ap 1822 of Luben. So the Seil at Eichdorf archived on Aida who emigrated could very possibly be from Luben or Breese.I have more on area Luben Seil family from the collection of Herr Soltau.I have a few more details of marriages births and deaths of Luhmann family. My information is limited. I do have the basic ownership lineage of the Luhmann family. And my Meyer.
I do not have the Sueschendorf Meyer mentioned above. He does not fit into the Research done by Bock of Oldendorf ownership of hof nr.30 and the Sueschendorf Hof research of family ownership. Some may fit the Borstelman book. Some may not.
I guess I need to review the other Eichdorf Hofs.
Does any one find a spare copy floating around for sale?
You know that book by Heinrich Borstelman is confusing. Did he take a village and write about each house on land owned or each farm. Or did he skip a few. If the book says there were five hofs of different sizes and maybe a cottage. Does that mean there were only five houses and one cottage in that village. Or does it mean five farms were owned by these people and one cottage??? Could there also be houses built by those who have worked there for years. The hauslers had homes? The herders had homes. I am saying this knowing that possibly the germans lived in the villages and then would leave daily the village to go out to their farm or land which was not that far I suppose. i realize that the distance between some of the villages are two or three miles.
.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

Have a good thanksgiving.
