I found the offer of Mr. Hans-Georg Boyken who wanted so give away some
books - long ago. I guess I am much too late but I am very interested in the
book of Georg Droste of Bremen, "Ottjen Alldag un sien Lehrtied"
If by any chance this book is still to be found somewhere??? I would be very
happy to know. Please contact me by e-mail (aki.kazak@gmx.de)
here are your villages/towns, located quite near to each other (all at about 5 10 miles distance), and all of them situated in the former Jeverland, i.e. northern part of the former grand-duchy Oldenburg, east of Ostfriesland:
a) COLDEWEI (ancient spelling: Coldewey) = formerly a village, now part of WILHELMSHAVEN.
b) HOHENKIRCHEN = an old village, now administrative center of the communalty Wangerland,
located about 10 miles north of the town of JEVER, half-way to the sea-side.
c) OLLACKER (your spelling is correct!) = now part of SCHORTENS (about half- between JEVER
and WILHELMSHAVEN).
Gross Coldewey just stands for greater Coldewey, but it is not a name of another village/town. Maybe it means the village including surrounding estates.
Will above information do? Or do you need further details?

Coldewey
Gross Coldewey
Hohenkirchen (yes I know there are several throughout Germany)
Ollacker (spelling?)
Dear Bill,
Hohenkirchen is an old frisian village, the main village of Wangerland north of Jever in Oldenburg, Gro Coldewey is a farm between Hohenkirchen and Tettens, Ollacker is a farm between Oldorf and Westrum, all located in Wangerland. They are near to each other.
