Liebe Liste,

ich suche nach :

1) Christiane Mathilde Boesenberg * 27 3 1856 in Hannover-Stadt,

2) Marie Sophie Bernhardine Boesenberg * 14 7 1858 , die in die US
auswanderte, ich aber in den Schiffslisten nicht finden kann,

beide wohnhaft in der Knochenhauerstr. 35 und ab 1859 in der Kramerstrasse
18, in Hannover-Stadt.

Mit wem waren sie verheiratet, wie hießen ihre Kinder und wann und wo sind
sie verstorben?Wann wanderte Marie in die USA aus?

I am searching for:

1) Christiane Mathilde Boesenberg * 27 3 1856 in Hannover-City.

2) Marie Sophie Bernhardine Boesenberg * 14 7 1858 who emigrated to the US,
but can´t find her on any ship list,

both were living on Knochenhauerstr.35 and from 1559 onwards on
Kramerstrasse 15, in Hannover-City.

Who were they married with, who were their children, and when and where did
they pass away?

Hello Loretta Sorry none of these names mean anything to me as my
search is for the Rappe family from Barsinghausen Hannover whose two
sons emigrated to England

When you are searching, don't forget the umlaut.
Boesenberg = B�senberg

Hi:

The e after the o supposedly replaces the umlaut. On paper that presents no problem. It is either spelled � or oe, so you should look for both.

  However, I find that in English the � and oe do not sound the same, as a result someone will spell the name just as it sounds in English. Also remember, anyone can pronounce their name anydurnedway they want to -- it is their name. That can also result in unusual spellings.
