Dear Sophia, I'm familiar with the REINKE name. I will try to explain how
and hopefully you can follow.
Charles Emil SCHWARTING b. may 1880 in Massapequa, Queens Co. (Nassau Co.
after 1892) NY married 1st Sophie REINKE. She died after having three children
and he then married Lillian PUETZ. I assume Sophie and Charles were married
in the German Lutheran Church in New York City. I don't have much more info
on them, but perhaps could offer contacts if you are interested as I'm
researching the SCHWARTING family.
Ohltmann Hinrich SCHWARTING (Charles father) was born in Aschwarden,
Hannover and came to this country about 1858 (1900 census) as a 12 year old. I have
never found who he came with or who he lived with.
