In reviewing the Eldena Chruch records I came across a place of birth as
Bistow. I can't fine this village so it must have changed over time. Can
someone tell me what it is today? I believe it to be within or close to this
parish.

Dear Bob,

probably that Biestow near Rostock. There were thousands of
SUSEMIEHLS. And as the SEYERs and the SUSEMIHLs have many
intermarriages, it should be the same Biestow.
