BAUER in Zeven, Hannover

Dear Hannover List,

I am looking for information on my great-great-grandmother's family.
Friederika Maria Dorothea BAUER was born on 29 March 1838 in Zeven, Landkreis
Rothenburg, Hannover. Her family belonged to the Lutheran church. She
immigrated to America in 1868, where she married a Mecklenburger in
Wisconsin. Her husband became part owner of a gold mine in South Dakota.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to find information on the BAUER family
in Zeven? or information on the Zeven area?

It appears that the church records for Zeven (1715-1875) are available at
the LDS Family History Library on microfilm. Go to the site
Familysearch.com and into the Family History Library into the Place search
and it will show you the microfilm numbers for Zeven. Go to your nearest
LDS Library and order the films. Then you can search through the
microfilm. Good luck!
