Auswanderer nach Australien-Passagierlisten / Emigrant to Australia-passenger lists

Hello Günter,

There are very few passenger lists for the 1842-50 period that have survived for South Australia.
Ernst Opperman (one n) was naturalized in 1906 and Anna applied for naturalization in 1916
because she needed to apply for a old age pension. Ernst and Anna were living in Victoria in 1906.

Anna Gesina Sophie Opperman was 86 years old at the time of her naturalization in 1916.

Please E-mail me if this is the family you are looking for, can you also give me the name of the other son
who also migrated to Adelaide with Ernst.

I will see if I can help find some more information for you here in Australia. Unfortunately in his
naturalization papers Ernst did not give the name of the ship he arrived on in 1842.

Kindest regards,

Elizabeth in Australia
