Auswanderer Bernhard Gerhard Borchers

Liebe Listenteilnehmer,

Vielen Dank Herr Juechter,
Wort Deutsch sprechen, so Ihre Familie wiederfinden koennte.

My wife Jane and I will be in Oldenburg Sept 14 thru 17 and with the help of Oldenburg resident Kerstin Khorasantchi, the daughter in law of a friend of ours from Naples, Florida in the USA, we hope to do some genealogy investigation into the historic details of my great grandparents and great great grandparents. The specifics of their births, deaths, and origins are described in the attached Word document.

We would be most interested in your suggestions regarding whether there is someone we can meet in the Oldenburg area to assist us in this endeavor. We are not experienced genealogy researchers, so we may need significant guidance. We would not only be interested in the details regarding the persons from the 1800s, but would also like to meet any living decedents of this family tree who may still reside in the area.

Thanks in advance for your time and comments.
Richard Borchers

Richard,
attachments like word or jpg documents can not be sent over this or
any other list on genealogy.net. They must be sent privately or posted
on some free spot on the net for others to link to.

Being that this trip is scheduled for two weeks from now all that is a
bit untimely but I guess you were hoping that some Borchers person
from Oldenburg is also on this list. Highly unlikely compared to the
masses of people living today in Land Oldenburg.

Most folks plan such reunion trips for years in advance with lots of
connections in hand.

You might want to try to post your document as text directly in your
mail. No attachments. Maybe somebody in Oldenburg can make a few quick
phonecalls or something.

Fred
(also in Naples)

Hello Richard,
it is not able to attach a Word document in this list.
The relelavant records of your immigrated ancestor you should included in the email text.
Is your Borchers ancestor catholic or lutheran?
Werner Honkomp

Thanks for your reply.
I will copy the Word document and place it in this email.
Lutheran would be the church.
