August Dommer

I am looking for information on August Dommer. He is supposed to have immigrated to American in 1866 but cannot find his records. On family search.org I found an August Dommer born 1-30-1841 the same year I have for my August Dommers birth. It lists his parents as Friedrich Dommer and Heinriette Marotz, of Battrow, Preussen.

August is my great great grandfather, I would like to find out more about him and his family, and if this is the correct person. Records here in Minnesota do not show much about him.

Hi Joann,

Anyone can post info on familysearch.com. No facts are required. What you have to do is find the films. Go to family search: library: place and order the films. This is the accurate info and where you can find birth, marriage and death records.

This is what I have done and I have found that the info on family search is grossly inaccurate.
