What a coincidence. I read or at least opened your first 2 postings in German before opening the English written one and I had to snicker. Where is Amt Burgdorf? A couple of years ago I visited Hidesheim and got to see the village Burgdorf to the east of Hildesheim and I think there is a larger Burgdorf also east but more north. I have a neat photo of me standing by the village sign.
