I found the marriage of your ancestor on www.genlias.nl. He was born 09.03.1842 in Oldenburg. Therefore I think he came fron the city Oldenburg. He was a stucadoor. He went to the Netherlands to work there like a few hundred other stucadoors in the Netherlands coming from Oldenburg. The specialist for this group of people is Gerhard Geerken. Maybe he has informations about your ancestor. I sent him a copy of this.
