The address you wrote down would be the proper way to follow the name with.
However, I would like to suggest that you repeat your e-mail to a list like
Mecklenburg. It would be bayern-L@genealogy.net and the advantage would be
that your message would be an e-mail to the Bavaria list with a lot of
participants who might react and offer help. Besides, your addressee in
Schweinfurt may not know English very well and be reluctant to write back.
Bavaria is the largest state in the Federal Republic and Franconia (or
Franken) is the subdivision where Schweinfurt is located. You can substitute
Franken for Bayern.
