19th century German censuses

Hi "Brouwers",

As there is supposed to be free flow of information between European countries, maybe you should aim that question towards your area MEP (Member of European Parliament). In England we have come to know that the wheels of the Belgian Parliament/beaurocracy turn very slowly - maybe they haven't addressed the subject of "Heritage" yet. I am surprised the Morman Centre doesn't order the films from America for you or even the UK which would sidetrack the importation of information from a banned source.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the films are ordered from Salt Lake, and I
know that If I were to go to family center in the states I could order these
films but considering that there is a waiting period from three to six
weeks, it is not do able the few times I go to the states. I am talking
about church records from the 1600 thru 1800's so they fall outside the
pricacy laws and have to do with the policy of the morman church but why the
discintion between europe and the states. Anna Marie Schmitz
