Hi all
Thanks to Reinhard I now have the details of the 1751 census for Sanitz and Thulendorf parishes, but I now have some questions-
1. Why are some surnames underlined, but not others?
2. What do the letters before some names mean? eg E, M, S, 3T, E-T, J, E-K, T/D etc
3. What occupations are knapsche, droscher, vorreiter? I have managed to translate the other relevant ones, but can't find these anywhere.
4. Which book is Sanitz and Thulendorf in? Is it the same as Luhburg/Basse or Sulten/Kittendorf? Is there a list somewhere that tells me which parish is in which book?
Hi Binna,
sorry I have nothing to do with Sanitz but I wonder about your ".... Sulten/Kittendorf". Do you have some ancestor in
this village Suelten or Kittendorf. I have there a lot of ancestors. In this village I my help you.
Hans JACOBS marr Catrin ZANDER 2 Sep 1714 Sulten.
Daughter Dorothea JACOBS baptised 21 Feb 1716 Sulten, married Jochim Christoffer JOREND 30 Nov 1741 Sulten.
Son Michel Martin JOREND baptised 29 Feb 1752 Sulten, marr Margaretha Elisabeth TIMMERMANS 8 Nov 1776 Sulten.
Daughter Catherina Maria Dorothea JOREND baptised 10 Mar 1774 Sulten, marr Reinhold Friedrich JASPER 4 Aug 1792 Basse/Luhburg. I don't know why Catrina JOREND went to Basse.
