Hi Jayson, from the evangelichen church book of Weisenheim can be seen that the parents of Jacob and Elisabetha were: the farmer Martin Bockel and his wife Maria Eva Sauer. at familysearch you can still find the children: Eva Bockel, born 18.2.1849 Georg Adam Bockel, born 04/01/1848, died 01/27/1848 Margaretha Bockel, born 15.2.1846 According familysearch married Johann Martin Boeckel the Maria Eva Sauer on 06.12.1845 Weisenheim. The parents of Johann Martin Boeckel were Karl Boeckel and Margaretha Gemlich. The parents of Maria Eva Sauer were Lorenz Philipp Sauer and Charlotte Bell Meyer. Whether the family emigrated to the US, I can not say. Best regards Bernd Engelhorn thats the problem ,i have found the daughter eva who came here in 1868,but nothing on the mother, does the town have a historian that you know of,is there a archive of pictures of families in the town somewhere?i have tracked down the family from this side but cant access files over there, its very hard to find anyone to talk to,i did get the microfiche film from utah with all the records, how did you find the occupation of the father?im trying to find the messer family as well because i believe that the daughter eva was perhaps promised to a george messer, she died in 1870 of unknown cause at this time as no one has any documentated info on her early death at age 21,on her grave stone it says wife of george messer but no marriage records are to be found, any ideas?thank you for responding Bernd Engelhorn Attachments3:45 PM (15 hours ago) to me Hello Jason, if you have an account on www.archion.de then you can look at the protestant churchbooks of Weisenheim. In the attatchment I send you the marriagerecord of Johann Martin Boeckel and Maria Eva Sauer and the birthrecord of Eva Sauer born in 1849. I also found the deathrecord of Johann Martin Boeckel. He died on 16th December 1866 in Weisenheim at the age of 44 years. Maria Eva Sauer was still alive at this time. Until 1871 there is no deathrecord vor Maria Eva Sauer. The deathrecords after 1871 are not online yet. Karl Gottlieb Boeckel, husband of Anna Margaretha Gemlich died on 15th August 1861. He was born on 23th December 1798. Between 1846 and 1871 the only deathrecord of a child of Johann Martin Boeckel and Maria Eva Sauer I found was the deathrecord of Georg Adam Boeckel, died 27.01.1848. Margaretha Boeckel (born 1846) married on 14th August 1862 to Daniel Gemlich. If you look on familysearch batchnumber c96589-1 there are some Georg Messer but under batchnumber m96589-1 there is no marriage with Eva Boecker. Maybe they where going together to the USA and married there. Maybe that will be a liitle help for you. If there are more questions then let me know. In the birthrecord of Eva it was written, that he was a farmer. The archion-site is not free. You also have to pay for it It looks like, that the husband of Eva Boeckel has been Georg Philipp Messer, born 17th January 1839 in Weisenheim. There is a United State Census 1900 for George P Messer (born January 1839) and Christina. At findagrave is written, that George Messer married after the death of Eva again a woman named Christina Hock. At familysearch there is a birth of Anna Messer 13th July 1869 with the parents George P. Messer and Eve and a birth of Elizabeth Messer on 30th march 1873 with the parents George P. Messer and Christina. It looks like, that the husband of Eva Boeckel has been Georg Philipp Messer, born 17th January 1839 in Weisenheim. It seems, that only Eva was going to the United States before 1869. As inheritor there where: 1. the widow Anna Eva Sauer with the underage children Elisabetha and Jakob, which are living with her in Weisenheim 2. the daughter of age Margaretha, single 3. the underage daughter Eva, wife of Georg Philipp Messer, farmer, both livin in Huntersland, County Schoharie, state of New York 4. Philipp Boeckel, farmer in Weisenheim (I cannot read, if this is also a son, maybe a brother of Martin)
