Dear sirs, When using Google I found that messages to and from your e-mail adress, are open to everybody by using Google. Is this the normal procedure? For many members of your Liste it may not seem to be a good idea that their e-mail adress is open to everybody, yours Peter Mouton.
That is why the welcome message states right up front:
"Open language discussion list concerning genealogy and history of the
area which was the Grandduchy of Oldenburg from 1803 to 1919.
Note: all mails to this list have been archived and indexed since 1998
and may be found via external search engines (like google).
Genealogy.net has no legal and no technical capability to delete
single messages from the external archive at mailarchive.com"
