Claudine, Nickelswalde was in Kreis Grosswerder around 1871 or so. Kreis
Grosswerder was also called Kreis Marienburg and it was located just south of
Kreis Elbing in West Prussia.
Since 1920 Nickelswalde belonged to the county *Danziger Niederung*. The county
*Grosses Werder* was South East of Danziger Niederung. The Polish modern day
name of Nickelswalde is Mikoszewo. It's location is West of the mouth of the
Weichsel river (Vistula). You can find some photos of Nickelswalde on my
