Your List

Doris,
This is a German list and I don't speak any German but you'd be
surprised what I've learned sitting here with my German dictionary. And if I
see any of my ancestor's names, the list is great about translating for you!
Good luck in your research.

This is NOT a German list but rather a multi-lingual list where
German and English predominate.

Doris. When I first subscribed to this list back in about 1995, most posts
were in English and were from persons of German ancestry living in the
United States. Since that time the list has evolved into one that is
predominately used by Germans, speaking German. That to the extent some
believe it is a German list. I just watch it to see if there are any names
posted I have or seek information on. There are web sites that you can copy
and paste text into for German to English translations.
