William Mensing

For a number of years I have been trying to find the actual date and place of William Mensing.
From the UK census returns his year of birth should be 1784 and the place Hannover(?)
I believe that William was the product of a Anglo/German union but have not found a marriage in England.
The earliest documented evidence of William is his enlistment in the 15th Light Dragoons in London on the 24th Dec 1804
Can anyone please help or point me in the right direction.

Hello,

     If you run a search on the LDS website (www.familysearch.org) there is
a William Mensing born 1784 marrying Ann Howard in Nottingham England on 24
Oct 1814 and another marriage to Hannah Howitt in Nottingham on 16 Jan 1834.
The birthplace is just Hannover and those records don't solve that question
of where in Hannover.
