Hello!
I am searching for my great grandmother's family in Gr Wanzer, Germany. This is where they said they were from on the Hamburg Manifest leaving Hamburg on May 4, 1872 for the USA.
Listed are: Heinrich WILLE b. about 1821; Dora WILLE b. about 1832; Elise (Elisabeth) WILLE b. April 1852; Wilhemina WILLE b. about 1866 and Fr (I think Frederick) WILLE b. about 1869.
I think they were Lutheran as Elisabeth was married and buried in the Lutheran Church in the USA.
They first went to the Chicago, IL area in 1872, moved to Clayton Center, IA in 1872, moved to Postville, IA, in about 1894, moved to Kimball, SD about 1900 and then back to Clayton Center, IA in about 1912.
I would appreciate any help you could give me on finding this WILLE family in Germany.
