My 3rd Great Grandparents were Friedrich Wilhelm Wiemers and Maria Catherine Gertrude Scholle(Schollen). Friedrich Wilhelm Wiemers was born in 1783 in Frohnhausen, Westphalia and Maria Catherine Gertrude Scholle was born in 1790 in Natzungen, Westphalia. After their marriage Friedrich Wilhelm moved to Natzungen and the couple lived in the Scholle house number 48.
They had 8 children, one boy and seven girls. Friedrich Wilhelm died in 1832 and his wife, Maria Catherine Gertrude remarried Anton Kröger, then Henrich Ernst. Anton died in 1837 and Henrich died in 1852. There is a notation in the church marriage record for Maria Catherine Gertrude that she died in "America". I have not found record of her in America yet, however. Her oldest son, Johann Franz Wilhelm Wiemers married Maria Theresia Rosenberg (old spelling Rüsenberg) in Natzungen and eventually immigrated to America about 1848-1850.
I have been trying to find records of all of the girls born to Friedrich Wilhelm and Maria Catherine Gertrude but have only found their birth records. They were quite young when their father died and I am wondering what happened to them. They were Catholic and their birth records were found in St. Nikolaus Catholic Church records for Natzungen.
The girls are:
1) Marianna Frederica Wiemers born 1814 in Natzungen (I found a notation on her birth record that she moved to Auenhausen in 1840 but I find no further record of her in the Borgholz Church Records either)
2) Josephina Wilhelmina Wiemers born 1820 in Natzungen
3) Maria Anna Therese Wiemers born 1822 in Natzungen
4) Eva Maria Wiemers born 1824 in Natzungen
5) Christine Bernadine Wiemers born 1826 in Natzungen
6) Sophia Rosina Wiemers born 1829 in Natzungen (she may have married Ferdinand Menne and moved to Grosseneder)
If anyone has any informaiton on these girls I would really appreciate it.
Regards, Kathy Montelaro
