Wiemar vs Winner

The more I learn the more questions I have!

In Pohlsander's collection 003 my ancestor is listed as "Johan thor Oeveste
s. Wiemar" and in Pohlsander's collection 032 the name has changed to
"Johan thor Oeveste sive Winner". They must be the same person, Pohlsander
lists three wives for each (1) Moltkasten, (2) Trine Exerie and (3) Lucke
Gieske. Too much of a coincidence for it to be two different people.

The question is did the name change because Wiemar became the owner of the
Winner farm? I've learned that usually (I thought) that is reflected as
"gent" in the records, so it would have been listed perhaps as "Johan thor
Oeveste gent Winner". None of his wives were Winner family either so it
isn't obvious that he married and became owner of the farm.

The only thing that seems to be left as an option is that one set of cards
Pohlsander transcribed the exact Latin or old German and collection 032 is
a more modern 'translation' of the cards. I don't know if that is a
plausible explanation, but it is the only one I can think of.

Does anyone else have any other possible explanations?

Danke,
Paul Winner

gent = genannt same as sive in Latin. For whatever reason he was
called Winner or Wiemar. Folks weren't as fussy about spelling back
then. Sounds like was fine. After all, they knew who he was.
