Well, Allen, Stettin on the Oder River used to be the capital of the
Prussian province of Pomerania (Pommern) until the end of WW II . After the
war it was given to Poland by Presidents Roosevelt, Stalin and the British
Prime Minister Churchill. The once German archives of Stettin (now Szczecin)
still exist as part of the Polish system of State Archives. Name and address
are:
Archiwum Panstwowe w Szczecinie
ul. Sw. Wojciecha 13 [= address, street and number]
70-410 Szczecin [= zip code and city name]
e-mail: sekretariat@szeczin.ap.gov.pl
You can write them in English, the answer will most likely be in Polish.
There is a fee.
