What do you say to a total stranger who is somehow relatedtoyou?

Thanks for the heads up! Ours in a suburb of Phoenix called Mesa, which has
a HUGE Mormon population. It looks like they have pretty decent hours here.

Regular Hours:
Monday 9 am - 5 pm
Tuesday thru Friday 9 am -9 pm
Saturday 9 am - 5 pm

Call that Mormon Family History Center to get their
hours before you make the trip over, if it's a distance.

Some are open only once or twice a week for a few hours.

Ours is a busy one and does have Sat. hours 9 a.m.-12 noon,
but no Mon, Tue, Friday (their Sabbath) or Sun. It is open
10-3 Wed and Thu, plus 6-9 Thu evening. Each one varies.
I think they depend on volunteers.

If you can't reach them by phone, check on the entrance door
for the Family History Center as the hours may be posted
there.

You may have a lot more retirees, too --- the biggest years for genealogy --- requiring more hours of use and providing more volunteers for the help desk! That's great!

We have a lot of Mormons, too .... but so many women work or are tied up with children in their young family years. I'm in a suburb of Chicago and all of our retirees leave here for the year-round golf states.

The local FHC has cut out Mondays and Tuesdays over the last 3-4 years, but has never had the long days that yours does. I feel like I just get started and then I have to leave because they are closing! .
