some say the name comes from the folds of the coat, some say it means "the one from the sea". It's true though, they were greatly pressured from both, prussians and poles. Interessting is the balance they kept in theire daily lifes, the mill was shared, the fishrights were shared, elderly people with no own caring for them were given shelter and a piece of land, if they could still work it. Landpurchases by others then destroyed that balance.
