in Wernigerode, because my great-great grandfather was supposedly born there.
Do you speak or write German? What information does a person have to have?
Is a birthday and family name enough? His (anglicized?) name was Charles
Gustave FITZE, born in 1829. What type of fees are involved? Any information
you can share would be very appreciated.
By the way, he told his children that his father was a duke, but there's
always the possibility he exaggerated his heritage.
