I'm looking for information on the Henry Wendt family that came to America
in the mid 1850's. They came from some city or town in the Kingdom of
Hannover. Reply to: wbl435@aol.com

Hello,
The census of 1860 shows six Henry Wendt from Germany. In 1870 there are
around 18. If you know your Henry's birthdate and/or a name of one of the
members in his family, it would be helpful. There are a number of the
Heinrich Wendt name listed in the archives for the Hannover area as well:
Do you have more information?

Hello,
Not likely a help to you.
I wrote some years ago that I had a photo of persons called Hans & Mimi Wendt, with a Martha Schmidt.
These I think are dated 1947 in Luneber or Launeberg.
They belonged to my grandparents who were from Bergedorf, Sande and Geesthacht, Germany.
Was my guess that Martha Schmidt was a relative, however I don't know if Schmidt was her married name or maiden. I imagine married since my grandma Dora marred my grandfather circa 1926......one would think a lady named Martha Schmidt was a sister-in-law circa 1947......or a cousin. I don't know.
Hans & Mimi Wendt, taken Laurenburg/Lunneberg circa 1947.
Warm Regards,
Hello,
Some days ago I have sent you an email regarding my Wendt family who lived
in Hamburg-Bergedorf and Geesthacht. I'm not sure if you received this
email. I would be interested to know if there is a relationship with your
Hans Wendt.
Regards,
Brigitte
