I am looking for Ancestors of Wilhelm Weise, his father was Johann, he was born about 1820 in Rudol stadt Swartzburg Germany.
Can anyone tell me was this in Mechlenburg? Am I even looking in the right area?

Rudolstadt is located in Th�ringen. Schwarzburg, too. The castle "Heidecksburg", which towers above the old city of
Rudolstadt, was the residence of the dukes of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt until 1918. The duchies of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt
and Mecklenburg was related to each other through their marriage policy. Perhaps your ancestors had connections to
Mecklenburg, but Th�ringen is the area, where you have to search.
