What are some web sites in Germany that are like Ancestry.com where you can find people? That would show family historys of people.

I use familysearch.org quite often. They are just now bringing digitized microfilms for some of the German states on-line. I think they are currently working on Hessen. I was able to retrieve census images for Mecklenburg. Sometimes a little hard to navigate, but there is a lot of stuff there.

that is the same in Germany, only a little change on the end, for .com use
.de, that means www.ancestry.de
