In English, Sagofabrikant translates to Sago manufacturer. Sago is a type of palm tree from which starch is extracted.

My GGG-grandfather's occupation in Bavaria was listed (on the Tauf-Zeugnis) as Sagofabrikant.

I would like to know more about the actual occupation.

According to www.google.com - Wikipedia - is Sago a powdery starch made from the processed pith found inside the trunks of the Sago Palm Metroxylon sagu.; see Tapioca. The occupation is "Sago-Hersteller"..
