Hello list members:
I am a new member of your list. I personally speak and read . very
rudimentary German. However, my wife, Erentrudis, who is fluent in German
will assist me with all translations.
My interest is in a Theodor Waltrich who was born in Westfalen around 1743
and died in Lovrin Banat Hungary on Feb 10 1801. He married Anna Maria ??
born around 1747 in Sauerland and died in Lovrin Banat Hungary on Aug 7
1803. From church records in Lovrin , I believe they had children named
Christian, Eva, Heinrich, Johannes and possibly one named Deitrich (?).
The
children were probably born in Westfalen as the church records and their
ages do not indicate a Hungarian place of birth.
I have traced my Waltrich ancestors from present day Philadelphia Pa USA
through the Banat ( Lovrin, Deutsch Etschka, Sarafol) back to Westfalen. I
am now trying to determine what year Theodor emigrated from Germany and to
verify that he did marry in Westfalen (Sauerland) somewhere around
1760-62
