Hello,
Wanted to write even though this note might likely sound silly.
While back I posted this obituary:
MEYER - On Thursday, Dec. 9, 1915, at 6 p. m., John U. Meyer, beloved
husband of Theresa Meyer (nee Drager*), beloved father of Mrs. Amelia Michel*,
Mrs. Hattie Klingler, Mrs. Louise Butz*, and our dear grandfather, and
great-grandfather, at the age of 83 years. Funeral from the residence at
Carsonville, Mo., on Monday, Dec. 13, at 8:30 a. m., to St. Ann's Church,
thence to St. Ann's Cemetery, Normandy, Mo.
Later I wrote about my great grandmother Rosie who was a good friend of Lulu Butz. Had the idea that Drager* was Droege in the obit...
Anyhow...Another good friend of GGM Rosie Feldhaus was Aunt Mamie Knable.
Hallo,
With regard to the inscription below - this may be the date the prayer book was received:-
'Winter, 1906, St. Stephenus'
The Day of St. Stephen is 26th December and historically this is when gifts were exchanged in Britain and is still known as 'Boxing Day'.
