Hi,
My name is Bruce Rahlf, living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My wife and I had a
great opportunity to visit Fehmarn for 2 weeks in October and November 2003.
We met distant relatives who were most gracious, almost makes one want to
move there, if gasoline wasn't so expensive!!
We also got to meet Volker and his wife at Gustav Alberts home, my fourth
cousin, what a great find. Volker made life a lot easier by translating for
us.
Volker, can you see if Gustav can send me a picture of his self wearing the
new helmet? I would like to show it off at work. Gustav turned 70 years
old while we were there.
So many people to thank on Fehmarn, Anna Mackaprang for her hospitality,
Heiner Rahlf for his undying help to us, Peter and Barbara Rahlf, Ilsa
Rahlf, Claus Rathjen for his never ending information, Karl Schmidt and his
wife, they run the Gasthaus in Klausdorf. It was so good we ate there 3
times. This is but a small list of people that helped us out. Can't wait
to go back.
That's about it for now. We are now hard at work putting all the Rahlf's
together
