Vielen Dank -- Eythra

Once again, I am amazed and humbled by the generosity of friendly hands that
have stretched across a continent and an ocean to help me. Thanks to
everyone who sent me information about Eythra, a town most of my family
remembers as a refugee camp and war zone, and others had later called their
home.

Last year, I was privileged to visit a 74-year-old cousin in Leipzig. After
living in Eythra for more than 36 years, she had to leave her home, and was
moved into a small, walk-up apartment located on the 4th floor. The town
of Eythra was then destroyed, and the land ravaged in order to mine its
reserve of brown coal. A town destroyed, and a womans life made much
harder.

Again, my thanks. I have much to read.
Tsch!
