[324] �tterodt-Scharffenberg, ein altes th�ringisches Geschlecht, welches
1442 das Schlo� Scharffenberg im Th�ringer Walde erwarb; 1598 theilte es
sich in die Thalesche u. Lupnitzer Linie; die letztere wurde 1829 in den
gro�herzoglich hessischen Grafenstand erhoben. Aus ihr stammte: 1) Graf Wolf
Horst, geb. 25. Oct. 1788, war Major u. Fl�geladjutant des Gro�herzogs
Ludwig II. von Hessen, wurde 1829 in den Grafenstand erhoben u. st. 26. M�rz
1836. 2) Graf Ludwig, Sohn des Vorigen, geb. 4. Febr. 1824 u. ist verm�hlt
mit Friederike geb. Freiin von �., verwittwete von Donop; sein Sohn Wolf ist
1846 geboren.
